NTA Students Need Your Help!
Hundreds of NTA students do not have access to devices in their homes.
Let's work together to close the technology gap so students can continue learning and stay connected to classmates and teachers!
Our mission.
Our mission is to raise funds to support the students and educators at National Teachers Academy, a Chicago Public School for pre-kindergarteners through eighth graders in the South Loop.
NTA is a model of excellence in the CPS system. Our 760 students – together with a dedicated community of parents, teachers, administrators, and other supporters – have earned CPS’s highest possible rating based on academics, attendance, and culture. It’s a community that upholds the principles of courage, commitment, integrity, awareness, and empathy – also known in our school as “The NTA Way."
Our story.
NTA spent the last two years fighting CPS’s plan to close this Level 1+ elementary school and turn it into a high school. The school won the fight to stay open when a judge ruled a civil rights lawsuit filed by a group of parents had merit and CPS abandoned their plans.
Throughout this, NTA earned and maintained a Level 1+ rating (the highest possible). Now, NTA is #heretostay and we are fundraising to help NTA continue its amazing legacy of teaching and living social justice. Learn more about our story here and see why we want NTA to have the resources to continue its journey of educating the future of Chicago.
